My 10 ways to take care of my health

I realized that one way to be happy is to have a healthy body inside and out. I never learned to be cautious of what i eat until i almost died of lbm and intestine problem.

Here's what i decided to blog after i went out of the hospital:

Oily, spicy foods, dairy products, alcohol: I've learned when i am 30 that i shouldn't have had taken a lot of those!

Result: poop in the blood, frequent lbm, gastroentritis ang intestine problems.

Not only that it is costly to be admitted at a hospital, hospital confinement is an experience i am afraid of. Hospital food, argh! I hate! Being confined also means no pay for your work, no income, no normal life, documents to file (if you have a healthcard and philhealth benefits). And i'm sooo afraid of needles and blood tests.

I had undergone colonoscopy and biopsy and i am still waiting for the biopsy result.

I realized that health is one of the things we should watch most especially when we are at early 30's, an age when we are very eager to work and take financial aspect of our lives seriously.

So i came up with these simple goals to take care of my health:

1. Make sure to sleep earlier, have at least 6 hours of sleep each day.

- When i was younger i don't sleep during my off from work. Instead, i catch up with my friends, drink too much, party too much, spend a lot. I thought life is just as simple as that, 5 days work, 2 nights going out of town or bar hopping, or just hanging out with my friends. Now that i'm 30, i proved myself wrong. Now, gimmick is only like twice a month, and whenever i have vacant hours, i chose to sleep instead of going out, pigging out and partying.

2. Drink a lot of water.

3. Drink less alcohol.

4. Always have fruits and veggies in every meal.

5. I really don't smoke.

6. Have a good laugh.

7. Avoid stress. Don't think too much.

8. Exercise. A long walk is fine and using the stairs also help. Like at the office, if i will just go from one floor to another, i use the stairs instead.

9. Pray. It is really helpful if we pray for good health and leave the things that stress us to the Lord. Don't worry too much just pray, do your best and God will do the rest.

10. Read a good book. I think this one promotes good health for me also. Good book means good read, good laugh, it is an anti-depressant for me.
